![]() Photo #1: This photo was most likely scanned at a low resolution (150 dpi or less) and at a small size. Notice the choppy, unclear details. It does have some contrast (light and dark areas), but it is not very clear. This type of photo will most likely render poor engraving results. Photo #2: This photo is too light and lacks detail. This type of photo will also render poor engraving results. Photo #3: This photo is too dark and has almost no contrast between the boy and the background. It’s also quite grainy. This type of photo will also render poor results. IMPORTANT: Most of the time we are able to make adjustments to your submitted photos so that good engraving results may be achieved. However, when we start with photos like the ones shown above, the resulting engraving may not always be optimal. If we believe that your submitted photo will render bad engraving results, we will attempt to contact you to discuss possible options (i.e. - rescanning your photo, mailing us your original photo, etc.) before making your pendant. ![]() The 3 photos shown above are examples of photos that will render good quality engraving results.
